The Ultimate Amazon Fashion Shopping Guide For Affordable and On-Trend Finds

So you want to shop for affordable and trendy clothes on Amazon but you’re terrified you’re going to order a dress only to find it’s 2 sizes too small and completely see through??

Yeah, I get it! It’s a bit of a gamble ordering from Amazon because sometimes that low price they’re advertising really is too good to be true! I even find the reviews can be untrustworthy at times because Amazon shop owners can pay people or send them free items in exchange for a good review!

So who can you really trust??

I’ll start off by saying that I think we all know that there are TONS of legitimate and well known trusted brands available on Amazon. But a lot of these can be pricy and you definitely don’t need me to explain to you that Nike is a brand you can trust on Amazon because you already knew that!

What I am talking about today are these lesser known brands that have the affordable, trendy pieces that can elevate your wardrobe and save you money at the same time!

BUT, which of these shops (with, TBH, pretty hard to remember names) can you actually trust?

I think a great way to find trendy and quality products on Amazon is to follow Instagram accounts and blogs dedicated to just this!

I’ve teamed up with a few of my favorite blogger babes (who I follow and I highly recommend following for some serious affordable fashion inspo!) to give you a great list of products and Amazon stores that we all trust that are affordable and totally on-trend!

Any Amazon item I post I promise you is always something I 100% love the quality of! To see my most recent favorite Amazon finds you can shop my most recent Amazon try-on here

So following bloggers who often shop Amazon is a good way to find reliable products, but sometimes it still just isn’t enough! Especially when you’re looking for something specific. SO I also put together some quick tips on how YOU can easily navigate Amazon to find quality items at low prices!

Shopping tips to find affordable but quality products from “lesser known” Amazon Stores:

The Key = The Reviews.

  • You gotta read them. But not only that, pay attention to HOW MANY reviews an item has. Anything with less than 10 reviews— why take the risk?? If there are less than 10 reviews it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad product, but the jury is definitely still out on it! These could be friends of the shop owner or the reviews could have been paid for by the shop owner. If these 10 reviews came from reliable, known sources, well that would be a different story, but 10 reviews from complete strangers? Not sure I’m ready to trust you, Bob who claims “my wife loved this”. Suuuuuure.

My advice: If you love it and it doesn’t have enough reviews— scroll on down until you see “Customers who viewed this item also bought”, “Customer who viewed this item also viewed” and “Sponsored products related to this item”. There is where you are most likely to find this products identical twin and possible a version with many more reviews!

  • Pictures are worth 1,000 reviews!

My advice: When looking at the reviews, look for the reviews with pictures! Some people are even Amazon Angels sent from heaven and even post their sizing details as well. This is how you’ll be able to tell if this item is as appealing/ even resembles the photo the Amazon store is displaying. AND you’ll get an idea on if you should order your normal size or size up/down.

  • Forget the stars unless there are 500+ reviews. Head straight to the 1 star comments.

My advice: Figure out what is a deal-breaker for you. You’ll often find a common theme in the 1 star reviews: “Doesn’t look as pictured”, “too small”, “itchy material”, etc. Figure out if what is commonly being reported is something that will bother you. Personally when I see “too small/tight” in the comments I just size up! Problem solved. Itchy material?? Deal-breaker for me. Thank you, next!

Other Things To Keep In Mind:

  • Not everything is prime-able. You could wait weeks before a non-prime item finally gets delivered! Keep this in mind if you need something by a certain date.

  • If the price seems CRAZY low… like $2.00 for a maxi dress…. do not buy. WAY too good to be true!

  • For general browsing, don’t forget to click “Today’s Deals” and filter for Women’s Fashion for the best prices!

  • Don’t forget Amazon Prime Day is July 15-16 ! Stay woke ladies, tons of deals to be had!

Well that was a nice and short blog post. (Ha! Not.) But it’s ok because it’s jam packed with some really useful shopping tips and Amazon finds so you’re not mad right?

Hope this was helpful, you can always comment here or DM me on Instagram with your feedback (positive or negative! Well like constructive criticism type of negative, not like hateful negative. I’m a fragile flower ok?)

Happy Shopping!
